Egypt | The Ultimate Travel Guide
Egypt is a land where the past is always present, the present is ever-changing, and every moment is an opportunity for discovery.
We start our trip to Egypt by flying into Cairo, Egypt’s largest and most populous city, and meeting up with Adventures by Disney. We’ll traverse the Khan el-Khalili Market, climb to the top of Cairo Tower, visit the Citadel and domed Mosque of Muhammad Ali, and take a stroll through the Egyptian Museum. We’ll then head to Giza, where we’ll stand in awe of the last standing wonder of the ancient world, the Pyramids. We’ll get up close and personal with the Sphinx before we take a private tour inside the Great Pyramid of Giza.
We then fly all the way to Egypt’s southern border to visit the great temples of Abu Simbel, then fly north to Aswan. During our three nights on the Nile, we’ll be stopping to visit some incredible places along the way, such as the Temple of Philae, the Temple of Kom Ombo, the Temple of Karnak, and we’ll have a private nighttime tour of the Temple of Luxor.
Our final stop is the Valley of the Kings, the remote, secluded burial ground for over 60 of Egypt’s Pharaohs, and the location of Howard Carter’s famous discovery in 1922 of King Tut’s Tomb.
