

The Louvre is one of the most incredible museums in the world, full of priceless and beautiful works of art - none of which I’m qualified to talk about. But, I got tons of footage - and so rather than try to tell you any real history about it this art, I think I will simply show you some of the beautiful paintings and sculptures, and I’ll intersperse with some of what I like to call - Dad History.
Get up close the scale of this monument to the indomitable spirit of France! While the arch was initially commissioned by Napoleon I in 1806, it wasn’t completed for 30 years, after many stops and starts along the way. Since then, it has stood as an iconic symbol of France.
The Opera Garnier stands as a testament of the opulence and decadence of a bygone era. Built between 1861 and 1875, it was eventually renamed for this man, the architect behind the project, Charles Garnier, Stepping into the Palais Garnier transports one into a refined frame of mind.
The infamous Catacombs of Paris, while not for the faint of heart, should not be missed by those who appreciate the more macabre side of history!
The Luxembourg Gardens offer a great way to spend a sunny afternoon. Originally built as a royal garden for the few elite, it is now a garden for all people.

Because of it’s proximity to the city and because of it’s high altitude, Sacre-Coeur offers some of the most breathtaking views of the skyline of Paris.
