We depart Seattle for our 7-night Alaskan Cruise aboard the Norwegian Bliss! Before we get to Alaska, our first day is a full day is a day at sea onboard the Bliss, which gave us plenty of time to explore this beautiful behemoth of a ship!
In Part 3 of our Alaskan Cruise videos, we're in Juneau! Juneau is not your average state capital. It is geographically isolated, not connected by road to the outside world - the only way to access it is by air or by sea. While in Juneau, we enjoy a "Bike & Brew" tour, visit Mendenhall Glacier, have a pint at Alaska's Oldest Hotel, and visit the world famous Red Dog Saloon!
Overnight we’ve made our way from Juneau to the northernmost place on our journey, Skagway! Today, we’ve booked a double excursion - a trip on the White Pass Railway, and a Wilderness Hike up to the Laughton Glacier.
Overnight we’ve sailed from Skagway to Glacier Bay National Park. This is World Heritage site, an immersive natural lab, a United Nations Biosphere reserve, a national park, and most importantly, a spiritual homeland for Tlingit natives. Here you’ll find countless species of plants and wildlife, placid and serene waters, soaring mountains, and earth shaping rivers of ice.
In the final video from our Alaskan cruise, we visit Ketchikan and have a sea kayaking adventure, and then on our final day, we visit Victoria, B.C. before for returning to Seattle.
