Disney News Round Up - November 14, 2022

The changes that have been coming to the beloved treehouse in Adventureland in Disneyland Park have finally been revealed!  Imagineers are paying tribute to the original treehouse that Walt and early Imagineers built in 1962 for the hit film “Swiss Family Robinson” by revitalizing this classic in new, fresh ways!  Guests will be able to explore unique rooms the Adventureland Treehouse including the mother’s music den, young sons’ nature room, the teenage daughter’s astronomers loft as well as the father’s art studio and a unique kitchen and dining room! We can’t wait to see it all come to life!

The Wonderful World of Disney Magical Holiday Celebration is returning for it’s seventh year!  This primetime special features musical performances, celebrity guests and of course some of your favorite Disney characters!  Disney has yet to release details on exactly who will be hosting or performing. The special will air on Sunday November 27th on ABC!

The “it’s a small world” holiday overlay at Disneyland Park is officially complete and guests are able to enjoy all the magical holiday fun at this classic attraction! Guests can float through this ride which is now filled with holiday touches like garland, snowflakes, candy canes, gingerbread and more!  Imagineers have also included new dolls who are depicted in wheelchairs as part of Disney’s ongoing diversity initiative.  These dolls are also expected to be added to the versions of “it’s a small world” at both Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney World next year.

Guests visiting Disneyland Park will also be able to spot Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and their friends in their holiday best!  Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, Goofy, Chip and Dale were spotted along Main Street in cozy outfits in shades of red and green to celebrate the holiday season!

Fans of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will be able to hear the Holiday Remix on the attraction beginning November 25!  There will be a new original song inspired by holiday classics but with unique lyrics jut for the ride! While the original version of the attraction features a rotating soundtrack of several songs from the 70’s and 80’s - the holiday version will include just one song.

It seems that every week we’re sharing a new foodie guide for the Disney parks!  And this week is no exception!  Holiday treats have arrived at Disneyland Park, Disney’s California Adventure Park and the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels!  During the month of December guests of Walt Disney World Resort Hotels can enjoy unique, delicious treats like the All Star Christmas Tree at the All Star Movies and Sports Resorts; the Mickey Santa hat at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge; Deer Holly-Day Cupcake at Art of Animation and Pop Century Resorts; Eggnog at Port Orleans French Quarter and much more!

Over at Disneyland Park guests visiting from November 11 - January 8 will be able to enjoy special holiday offerings such as the Holiday Cookie Pretzel in Frontierland; the Pan Dulce Ice Cream Sandwich at Rancho del Zocalo; Maple Beignets at the Mint Julep Bar; The Thanks-mas Sandwich at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe; plus a variety of holiday churros, cookies, drinks and more throughout the park!

In Disney’s California Adventure Park guests will find even more delicious offerings including Bananas Foster Funnel Cake Fries at Award Wieners; Mexican Chocolate Cheesecake at Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta; Gingerbread Shake at Flo’s V-8 Cafe; the Salted Caramel Mocha Bundt Cake at the Pacific Wharf Cappuccino Cart; plus plenty of cookies, drinks and other treats throughout the park as well as the Disneyland Resort Hotels!
