We finally have a date for the return of Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!  It was previously shared that it would be returning sometime in November but now Disney Parks has confirmed that this incredible nighttime spectacular will be returning November 3!  Guests will experience all the performances, effects, music and pyrotechnics they know and love PLUS a new hero sequence! This sequence features Aladdin, Elsa, Pocahontas, Moana and Mulan AND will showcase stunts never before seen in this production!

Three Walt Disney World Resort restaurants are getting some exciting updates in near future!  Beginning on November 1, Tusker House Restaurant in Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be transitioning over a buffet style dining experience!  This is an all-you-care-to-enjoy style buffet open for breakfast, lunch and dinner offering plenty of delicious African-inspired flavours! PLUS guests can get a hug and a photo from Donald Duck and some of his pals as they enjoy their meal!

The Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will also be reopening on November 1 after a recent refurbishment!  Dishes such as the cult classic, Tonga Toast as well as the Pineapple Macadamia Nut Pancakes will be returning to the breakfast menu along with the Big Kahuna Burger and Seafood Pu Pu Platter on the lunch and dinner menu plus a new plant based dish - Sautéed Red Quinoa!

The LONG awaited reopening of Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in the Norway pavilion at Epcot will be here November 4!  This family style dining experience includes dishes boasting Norwegian flavors such as Kylling og Melboller, chicken and dumplings, as well as more classic American cuisine like grilled salmon and mashed potatoes with gravy.  But the most exciting part of this dining experience is visiting with your favourite princesses!

Beginning today “it’s a small world” at Disneyland Park will be temporarily closed to receive it’s holiday overlay! Guests will soon be able to enjoy festive decor, displays and music throughout this classic attraction!

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is offering Holiday sleigh rides again this year! These 25 minute sleigh rides are $75 and each sleigh can hold up to four adults OR two adults and three small kiddos. Rides depart from Tri-Circle-D Ranch and are available from December 1 to 23rd!  These rides can be booked on the Walt Disney World website or through My Disney Experience up to 60 days prior to your visit!

Disney Imagineer, Bob Weis, has announced his retirement after 42 years!  Weis has a long history with Disney Parks growing up in Southern California, working in Disneyland Park throughout college and then joining Walt Disney Imagineering in 1980 as part of the team creating Tokyo Disneyland.  He also worked on Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Tokyo DisneySea, and Shanghai Disney Resort just to name a few!  He said farewell with the following words - “I am proud to have been an Imagineer, a collaborator, and someone who loves to do impossible things with impossibly talented people.”
