Disney News Round Up - October 3, 2022

A lot has happened in the world of Disney this week!  We’ve gathered up some highlights from the amazing teams at Disney Parks Blog and WDW News Today - two amazing resources to keep you up to date on all things Disney!

The Candlelight Processional is returning to the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays beginning November 25!  This has been a part of Walt Disney World’s holiday celebrations since it’s opening in 1971.  A retelling of the traditional Christmas story with an incredible choir, 50 piece live orchestra, Voices of Liberty acapella ensemble and of course the celebrity narrators!  This year we can expect returning favorites including Whoopi Goldberg, Marie Osmond and Neil Patrick Harris along with some new faces including Josh Gad, Gloria Estefan and Mariska Hargitay!

What would the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays be without incredible food? The list of booths has been shared and includes the American Holiday Table in the American Adventure Pavilion; the Bavaria Holiday Kitchen in the Germany Pavilion; Las Posadas Holiday Kitchen in the Mexico Pavilion; Mele Kalikimaka near Port of Entry and many more all showcasing delicious holiday treats from around the world!

Fan favorite, The Holiday Cookie Stroll, will also be returning to the Festival of the Holidays at Epcot!  Guests can purchase five of the participating holiday cookies and collect stamps for their festival passport to receive a prize! Some of the options include Alfajores from Nochebuena Cocina; Black and White Cookie (plant based) from L’Chaim! Holiday Kitchen; Linzer Cookie from Bavaria Holiday Kitchen; Gingerbread Cookie from Holiday Hearth Desserts and more!

Disney After Hours events are scheduled to return to Walt Disney World in January 2023!  Beginning with Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom guests can enjoy a late night experience in the parks for three additional hours after closing!  These events are separately ticketed and quantities are limited which means guests will enjoy lower wait times for some of their favorite attractions! Tickets for Disney After Hours can be purchased beginning October 7, 2022 with prices ranging from $129-159 (plus tax).

Pirate rooms at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort are undergoing refurbishments to include “subtle nods to fan-favorite characters from under the sea, will accommodate more guests, and feature updated finishings that can’t be found anywhere else at the resort.” Work will begin in the Trinidad area of the resort and are set to reopen sometime in 2023 but no confirmed date has been shared yet.

Characters have returned to Ohana Best Friends Breakfast at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort!  Guests can partake in the all you care to enjoy breakfast at Ohana and visit with Lilo, Stitch and friends! Breakfast is served family style and is priced at $45 per adult and $29 per child plus tax and gratuity.

Makeup and Disney lovers will be excited to see a new collection from Ulta Beauty!  The cosmetics retailer has teamed up with Disney Parks to release a new makeup collection celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World. Each of the parks will have its own eyeshadow palette reflecting the spirit of the park.  The collection also includes a face palette, make up songs, brush set and nail polish vault along with some accessories!
